The rapper’s latest collaboration with the heritage fashion label transports her to her childhood. Megan Thee Stallion has always been a fan of Coach.
The 26-year-old rapper, tastemaker, and fashion trendsetter have teamed up with Coach once more, bringing her “Hot Girl” attitude and signature swagger to the brand’s Spring 2022 Campaign, “That’s My Ride.”
“I feel like working with Coach is just so nostalgic to me because I’ve been wearing this brand my whole life,” Megan says of her latest collaboration with the heritage fashion label.
“My grandmother used to take me shopping also buy me little Coach wristlets and small purses – and now that I’m all grown up, I get to wear everything and have all the big purses,” she adds.
When she starred alongside boyfriend Pardi Fontaine for the Coach x Schott NYC launch in September 2021, the three-time Grammy Award-winning artist quickly became a beloved member of the Coach family.
The iconic horse and carriage logo is front and center in the brand’s latest campaign, as seen on the label’s newest iteration of the Coach Horse and Carriage bag. Megan has had a soft spot in her heart for Coach bags for as long as she can remember, as they are linked to memories of shopping with her grandmother.
“I had a Coach wristlet in which I carried my entire life. It was the equivalent of 16 lip glosses… 20 small quick debit cards, “She informs PEOPLE. “My grandmother would give me those little Chase cards with a hundred dollars on them. It was brimming with it. My student IDs… I kept them until I was in the 12th grade.”
“And then I lost it,” Megan concludes, adding, “Someone has my entire life in their hands!”
